OREANDA-NEWS  Korean automaker Hyundai has applied for registration of a trademark of the same name in Russia, RIA Novosti found out after studying the electronic database of Rospatent.

According to the documents, the company applied for trademark registration in April. Hyundai wants to sell thermostats as well as electric heating devices under this brand.

At the end of 2023, the South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor announced its decision to sell an automobile plant in St. Petersburg to the Russian Art Finance LLC, the parent company of AGR LLC. The deal was closed in early 2024, while Hyundai stated that it would retain the possibility of buying out the plant within two years after the sale.
