OREANDA-NEWS  Iranian SAIPA cars, the start of sales of which in Russia is scheduled for June this year, will cost about a million rubles. This was reported to Autonews by Lucky Careancy, another distributor of the brand from the Islamic Republic.

Recall that the Russian SAIPA line will initially be represented by only three models: the compact hatchback Quick, as well as the Saina and Shahin sedans. The first batch of 1000 cars should go on sale on June 1.

According to the interlocutor of the portal, the simplest models – Saina and Quick – will be estimated at approximately 13 thousand dollars or 1 million rubles at the current exchange rate. The more expensive Shahin sedan, respectively, will cost about 22 thousand dollars or 1.7 million rubles. Exactly the same figures were previously called by representatives of the company "Best Motors", which will directly deal with the supply and sale of SAIPA cars to our country.

Meanwhile, Lucky Careancy is considering the possibility of localizing the assembly of Iranian cars at the Belarusian Unison plant, which already has relevant experience with another brand from Iran – Iran Khodro. It is reported that negotiations on this topic are already underway, but a final decision will be made only after it is possible to assess the demand for Iranian cars from the Russians.

If the Saipa assembly can be localized, the prices for these machines may become even lower. This will be possible due to the fact that the distributor will not have to pay a recycling fee, and the cost of customs clearance of car kits is lower than when importing finished cars. Thus, the savings from each car can reach 3 thousand dollars or more than 230 thousand rubles.
