OREANDA-NEWS  The demand for employees in the field of logistics in March-August increased in Russia more than twice compared to the same period last year, and salary offers increased, follows from the data of Avito Jobs available to RIA Novosti.

"The logistics industry ensures continuous and optimal flows of goods and services. Recently, the sphere has been growing rapidly due to the development of domestic business and the trade of marketplaces... From March to August 2023, the number of job offers in the logistics sector increased 2.2 times compared to the same period last year," the study says.

It is noted that the average salary offers in this area have also increased (+20%). So, if at the end of the summer of 2022 employees claimed to be paid 57,646 rubles, now the amount is 68,936 rubles per month.

At the same time, in the context of individual professions, the demand for storekeepers has grown most noticeably - by 2.4 times, average salaries in such positions have increased by 21% (48,604 rubles). They are followed by dispatchers with a twofold increase in the number of vacancies and cargo carriers - 1.7 times. The increase in the proposed salary was 13% (39,031 rubles) and 18% (47,875 rubles), respectively.

In turn, the number of job offers across the country for logisticians has increased by 1.8 times, and the proposed salary has increased by 19%, reaching 59,686 rubles per month.

"The number of vacancies in the logistics sector has more than doubled and as of August occupies about 10% of the total number of job offers on the platform. The high demand for industry workers and the increase in salary offers are due to the development of new logistics chains throughout the country, as well as the expansion and expansion of trade and production volumes of Russian business," says Artem Kumpel, Managing Director of Avito Work.
