OREANDA-NEWS  Khusnullin named the timing of the appearance of a new high-speed highway in Siberia. The construction of the M-12 Vostok toll highway continues in Russia. According to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, work is currently underway on the section from Yekaterinburg to Tyumen, and traffic on the highway will open in the fourth quarter of 2026.

"We will be ready to open the last section by November, unless something extraordinary happens to the contractor. The object is already on its way out. I look at the certificate and photo report every week," the official said.

He also said that it will be a modern four-lane transport artery without traffic lights, fully illuminated. It will connect the north-west of Russia with Siberia.

Khusnullin explained that about 70 million tons of cargo are transported by road per year, which, according to the politician, has a "huge" economic effect, even though not all trucks travel the full route.
