OREANDA-NEWS  The Azerbaijani aviation authorities have decided to ban flights to the country by Iranian airlines due to US sanctions against Iran.

"The new package of sanctions imposed by the United States against the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially in connection with sanctions against the aviation sector, has led to the decision to suspend flights of Iranian airlines to Azerbaijan from September 22, 2026," " the press service of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC told Interfax.
