OREANDA-NEWS Kuwait airline Jazeera Airways resumes direct flights with Ukraine from 13 July. This was announced by the Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Senik.

"For the first time in many years, a direct flight Kuwait-Kiev is being launched. In the near future, after the quarantine restrictions in Kuwait are eased, Ukrainian tourists will be able to visit this country," the deputy minister wrote.

At the moment, due to quarantine restrictions, the entry of Ukrainian citizens into Kuwait is prohibited, even if they have issued a visa. The new air route is targeted at Kuwaiti residents. To visit Ukraine, they do not need to obtain a visa: the visa-free regime for Kuwaiti citizens has been in effect since August 2020.

Jazeera Airways flights will operate at night on Tuesdays and Fridays from Kuwait and early in the morning on Wednesdays and Saturdays from “Kiev” airport.

The price of a round trip ticket is from $ 665. The ticket price includes hand luggage up to 7 kg and two pieces of baggage with a total weight of up to 30 kg.

On July 21, 2020, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy established from August 1 a visa-free regime for citizens of Australia, New Zealand, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia if they stay in Ukraine for no more than 90 days in six months.

On June 1, 2021, the low-cost airline Flynas from Saudi Arabia announced the start of regular flights with Ukraine.
