NATO Ships are Going to Visit Finland at the End of May

OREANDA-NEWS On May 27, ships of the American and French navies arrive in Finland on visits, Interfax reports with reference to the headquarters of the Finnish Navy.
It is noted that the ships will visit Helsinki from 27 to 30 May.
We are talking about the missile destroyer USS Gravely and the base ship of the landing forces USS Gunston Hall of the US Navy and the French frigate Latouche-Treville.
The ships will moor at the port of Hernesaari. The frigate FGS Sachsen is already there - it arrived on May 25 from Germany.
Finland, like Sweden, is currently actively preparing for membership in the North Atlantic Alliance. On May 18, both of these countries applied to join NATO, while Turkey is blocking the process.
As NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg admitted, Finland and Sweden will not be able to join NATO without fulfilling Turkey's demands.
Meanwhile, US congressmen are calling on US President Joe Biden to expedite the admission of Finland and Sweden to NATO.
Several US congressmen called on the administration of US President Joe Biden and the Senate to expedite the process of admitting Finland and Sweden to NATO. This is reported by RT with reference to a letter of appeal signed by 189 parliamentarians.
“We call on the United States Administration and Senate to work with each other, as well as with our NATO allies, to immediately expedite the process of approving accession protocols that will allow Finland and Sweden to become members of NATO,” the document says.
