OREANDA-NEWS It is known that at the moment the supply of Solaris to the car dealerships of the brand continues, and the finished equipment will last until the fall. Nevertheless, a number of sources in the dealer community note that sedans and crossovers that were assembled in 2025 are being brought to showrooms. Since the beginning of 2026, South Korean cars have not been produced in the northern capital.
According to preliminary data, after the modernization, cars that are now known in the Russian market as Omoda will float along the assembly lines of the assembly site. It is known that after the localization of production, cars will be offered to Russians under a new brand, but it is not yet known exactly what they will be called. The timing of the project is not disclosed at the moment.
Recall that the production of full-cycle Solaris cars from existing car kits began at the plant in St. Petersburg in the winter of 2024. As a result, Hyundai Solaris and Kia Rio sedans, Kia Rio X-Line hatchbacks and Hyundai Creta crossovers became available to customers. In total, about 82 thousand cars were assembled.
