OREANDA-NEWS Siberia Airlines, aka S7 Airlines, has been fined 200 thousand rubles in seven cases of violation of passenger rights. This was reported by the press service of the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office on its website.

According to the prosecutor's office, on October 3, 2021 the airline delayed a flight from Barnaul to Novosibirsk due to malfunction of the aircraft systems. At the same time, the company failed to accommodate 28 passengers in a hotel.

Novosibirsk and Barnaul transport prosecutors have initiated seven cases under the article on rendering services to the population in violation of the requirements established by law. The court rulings to impose fines have not yet come into force.

In addition, the Novosibirsk Prosecutor's Office initiated a check on the provision of additional services to passengers following the delay of 39 flights and the cancellation of eight flights from Krasnodar International Airport on January 23-24. Air service was disrupted by the weather then.

On January 18, a court in the Novosibirsk Region twice fined the airline a total of 60,000 rubles for denying passengers transportation. S7 denied five passengers a flight from Novosibirsk to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky due to a lack of available seats on the plane.
