OREANDA-NEWS  S7 Group has decided to merge its airlines with Sibir Airlines JSC ("Siberia") and Globus LLC.

"By the decision of the sole shareholder of Sibir Airlines JSC, a decision was made to reorganize in the form of Globus LLC joining it," Sibir Airlines JSC said in a statement.

The corresponding decision was made on June 29.

It is specified that after the completion of the accession, Siberia will continue its activities, and Globus will "cease its activities through reorganization in the form of accession."

Globus was established in 2008 as a separate airline of the S7 Group, operated flights from Moscow and Novosibirsk. In 2020, by the decision of the management of the S7 Group and Globus were merged: transportation continued under the S7 brand, the Globus operator's certificate was canceled.

At the beginning of last year (before the events of February 24), Globus again received an operator's certificate from the Federal Air Transport Agency. On its basis, S7 planned to create a low-cost airline under the Citrus brand. It was planned to launch the company in July 2022, it was assumed that it would connect the regions of the Russian Federation, bypassing Moscow. The carrier's fleet was planned to be formed from the Airbus A320neo.

In June, S7 announced the suspension of the project, explaining that it was impossible to get the A320neo due to sanctions. It was noted that the Citrus team will continue to work, including on the organization of joint S7 and Globus flights.

The S7 group is controlled by Vladislav Filev and his daughters Tatiana and Maria.
