OREANDA-NEWS  The United Far Eastern airline Aurora is working on the issue of establishing regular flights with the DPRK and plans to increase the international network as a whole, said the head of the Ministry of Regional Development Alexei Chekunkov.

Aurora is working on this possibility (regular flights with the DPRK). There is such a possibility… In terms of the international grid, we have not yet reached the indicators that were before the pandemic," Chekunkov told reporters at the international exhibition-forum "Russia".

According to him, before the pandemic, Aurora operated flights to 74 foreign destinations, and now there are 11 of them.

"Taking into account the high interest in the Far East, including tourists from border countries, we will expand this grid... Aurora will organically increase the international network," the minister added, noting that the priority task is to preserve the maximum number of social routes and the lowest possible prices for routes between the Far East and the European part of Russia and between the regions of the Far East.
