OREANDA-NEWS  Iranian cars are not certified in Russia, so while their deliveries to the country are impossible, RIA Novosti writes with reference to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

"One of the main conditions for the supply of imported cars, including from Iran, and their operation on the territory of the Russian Federation is the certification of the vehicle," such a condition for the start of deliveries was disclosed in the department.

In February, the Iranian carmaker Iran Khodro announced that it plans to deliver two thousand cars to Russia by the end of March. Also, the Iranian Saipa is negotiating with Russian distributors on the annual export of more than 20 thousand cars to the country.

Iran does not rule out the creation of a joint venture with Russia for the production of cars, the official representative of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran Omid Ghalibaf said earlier. The country already exports cars to Azerbaijan and Armenia.
