OREANDA-NEWS  The construction of 17 terminals in Russian seaports, as well as the creation and reconstruction of 25 water transport infrastructure facilities are planned for the period up to 2036, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation told RIA Novosti.

They recalled that in August 2025, the government approved a comprehensive plan for the development of transport, energy, telecommunications, social and other infrastructure for the period up to 2036.

"It included, among other things, the construction of 17 terminals in seaports. It is planned to build or reconstruct 25 water transport infrastructure facilities in the period from 2025 to 2036. In particular, three of them belong to the Arctic Basin, including two ports on the coast of the Northern Sea Route, and 12 more are terminal complexes in the Far Eastern Basin," the ministry said.

According to the comprehensive infrastructure development plan approved by the Cabinet of Ministers for the period up to 2036, it is also planned to reconstruct about 4.5 thousand kilometers of railways, more than 2 thousand kilometers of highways, as well as modernize social facilities and airport complexes.
