OREANDA-NEWS  In the last month of winter, electric vehicles accounted for exactly 1% of the total number of new passenger cars sold in the Russian Federation. Such data were provided by experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" during the online broadcast "AUTOSTAT RAM. Operational information on the Russian car market. Results of February 2023".

Despite the low level of sales of electric cars in our country, the achieved result is a record. For comparison: a year ago, in February 2022, the share of electric vehicles in the Russian market was only 0.3%. 550 new electric vehicles were sold in Russia last month – 90% more than in February 2022. In total, 909 "commuter trains" were sold over the past two months, which is 61% higher than in January – February of last year.

In the February model rating, the domestic electric sedan Evolute i-PRO (117 pcs.) is leading, which accounts for 21% of all electric vehicles sold. In second place in popularity among Russians is Volkswagen ID.4 (82 pcs.), in third place is Tesla Model Y (59 pcs.). The top five also included Voyah Free (42 pcs.) and Volkswagen ID.6 (29 pcs.). The TOP 10 also includes Evolve i-JOY (26 pcs.), BMW iX (19 pcs.), Hongqi E-HS9 (16 pcs.), Skywell ET5 (15 pcs.) and Zeekr 001 (15 pcs.). It is worth paying attention to the fact that 7 of the 10 listed models are new products that have appeared on the Russian market quite recently. And two models, as you can see, belong to the domestic brand Evolute.
