OREANDA-NEWS The State Duma, at a plenary session on May 24, adopted in the third, final reading a law that prohibits drivers with an unexpunged or outstanding conviction for crimes of medium gravity, as well as grave and especially grave crimes, from working as taxi drivers. At the same time, in the last two cases, this also applies to the category of bus and tram drivers, the text of the document is published on the official website of the Parliament.

According to the document, the ban will apply to drivers of buses, trams, trolleybuses who have an outstanding or outstanding conviction for committing a crime against public safety, a crime against the foundations of the constitutional order and state security, as well as against the peace and security of mankind. At the same time, they must, in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, be serious and especially serious. Restrictions will also apply to those who have committed similar crimes under the laws of foreign member states of the EAEU.

This list also applies to taxi drivers, but it is expanded with such crimes as murder, intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, kidnapping, robbery, robbery, crimes against sexual integrity and sexual freedom of the individual. At the same time, the ban on working as taxi drivers will also restrict citizens who have a criminal record for crimes of medium gravity.
