OREANDA-NEWS  It is planned to introduce new features for fifth-generation serial fighters Su-57. Vadim Badekha, CEO of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), told TASS about this.

According to the head, the Su-57 platform, which is supposed to last 40-50 years, has an open architecture. The head of the company noted that the fighter is currently being upgraded, and subsequently, with his participation, it is planned to work out the elements of the sixth-generation aircraft.

At the same time, as Badeha added, the use of drones will become a key area of development of the platform. "In the coming years, as part of the modernization program, new properties will be introduced on the supplied Su-57 production aircraft," said the head of the UAC.

Earlier, a video of the demonstration flight of the export version of the Su-57 at the Aero India 2025 aerospace exhibition in Bangalore (India) appeared on the Telegram channel of Rosoboronexport.

Also in January, the CEO said that the production of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters at the Yuri Gagarin Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant could cover the needs of the Russian Defense Ministry and exports.
