OREANDA-NEWS  Turkish Airlines on Thursday canceled all flights from Turkish resorts to Russian cities, an informed source in the travel industry told RIA Novosti.

"Turkish Airlines has cancelled all flights from Antalya, Dalaman and Bodrum to Russian cities, including Moscow, today. Tour operators are currently on the phone trying to resolve the situation," the source said.

He suggested that the decision was related to delays and cancellations of flights at Russian airports. In particular, at least 16 flights from Antalya to Moscow and St. Petersburg were canceled.

At the same time, the Turkish low-cost airline Pegasus has not yet announced the cancellation of flights between resorts and cities in the Russian Federation.

Restrictions to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights were introduced at a number of airports in the Russian Federation, including on May 6 and May 7. This affected, for example, Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo, Zhukovsky airports, as well as airports in Sochi, Kazan and other regions. Some flights were delayed or cancelled. Rosaviatsia reported on Wednesday morning that airlines are taking measures to stabilize the schedule.
