OREANDA-NEWS Turkish Airlines has again refused to allow a Russian tourist to board a flight to Europe due to Schengen. The Telegram channel "Roof of the Tourist House" writes about this.

The incident occurred on October 5 at Istanbul Airport. Yulia flew there from Moscow. She was supposed to go to Naples from Turkey. At the check-in desk at the airport, she was given a boarding pass for the next flight, but she was stopped at the boarding gate.

"Representatives of the carrier first stated that my visa was invalid, then that it had already been used, although it was on this document that I was going to enter for the first time. They also said it was a lottery. And they wouldn't let me on the plane," Yulia shared.

She immediately contacted the Italian Consulate in Moscow, where she was confirmed that her Schengen visa was valid. Nevertheless, the airline did not consider this an argument. Then she contacted the Naples border guard service, but it took a long time to get an answer from there.

According to her, the airline's employees behaved unfriendly. "The staff at the Turkish Airlines counter changed every couple of hours, and each time I had to explain to them again what had happened and ask them to see if there was a response from Naples. No one on shift conveyed that a lady was sitting and waiting for the decision of the border guards," she said. After 15 hours of waiting, the girl bought a ticket to Moscow and flew away, without waiting for a reply letter from the Italian department.

Earlier, Turkish Airlines had already refused to board another Russian woman with a Schengen passport on a flight to Italy. So, at the boarding gate, she was informed that her visa had not been loaded into the EES system.
