OREANDA-NEWS  The Moskvich Moscow Automobile Plant and the Yandex division signed an agreement on the supply of five thousand crossovers for taxi and car-sharing fleets. Two thousand of these cars will be equipped with an electric motor, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

According to Sobyanin, one of the world's largest orders for the supply of electric cars for taxis and car sharing will help improve the ecology of the capital and will be a good example for other cities. The head of the city also expressed hope that Moskvich will become one of the main suppliers of cars for taxis and carsharing throughout the country. So far, since the beginning of April, the Yandex fleet has already been replenished with the first 50 cars that came off the Moskvich assembly line.
