A fire broke out at a chemical plant in Dzerzhinsk

OREANDA-NEWS The fire occurred during repairs at the Synthesis Oka chemical plant in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, no one was injured, there were no emissions or leaks, the company's press service told RIA Novosti.
"While performing repair work on the stopped equipment in one of the buildings, a pop occurred with a fire, which was promptly localized by employees of LLC Fire Protection Detachment-2. There are no casualties. There were no emissions or leaks," the plant's press service told the agency.
According to the agency's interlocutor, all technological processes at nearby installations have been safely stopped, and a headquarters has been set up to determine the causes of the incident, eliminate the consequences and assess the damage.
