OREANDA-NEWS  A ship with a Ukrainian crew sank in the Black Sea, TASS reports with reference to the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport.

The merchant ship Eileen, flying the flag of Cameroon, received a hole 140 nautical miles off the Bulgarian coast and sent a distress signal. A Bulgarian Navy border patrol ship and helicopter, as well as Romanian and Turkish vessels nearby, went to help.

A crew of ten Ukrainian citizens evacuated the ship on life rafts, they were picked up by a Turkish vessel. Shortly after the evacuation, the damaged Eileen sank.

Earlier, a luxury yacht sank off the coast of Turkey immediately after sailing. The incident occurred on September 2 off the coast of Zonguldak in the north of the country. The cost of the vessel is estimated at 70 thousand pounds (almost 7.6 million rubles).
