OREANDA-NEWS If the current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is defeated in the elections, Armenia will face war. This statement was made by the head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Ararat Mirzoyan, according to Armenpress.
"The ideology of some opposition circles is that there are territorial problems with almost all neighboring countries. (...) Obviously, if people with this mindset come to power, there will immediately be a problem with the neighbors," he said.
To the journalist's statement about the responsibility of the current government for the conflict, Mirzoyan replied that it was not the government's fault, but the result of 30 years of erroneous policy.
It is known that parliamentary elections will be held in Armenia on June 7.
Earlier, Pashinyan said that the Armenian opposition is seeking a revision of the peace treaty with Azerbaijan, which inevitably leads to a new round of hostilities. He expressed confidence that such statements were actually written by foreign forces, and the internal opposition was only reading them out.
