OREANDA-NEWS. The 43rd session of the UNESCO world heritage Committee will be held in Baku from 30 June to 10 July, 2019.

The meeting will consider 36 applications for inclusion in the world heritage List. In addition, the Committee will check the condition of 166 objects included in the UNESCO world heritage site, and 54 of the objects in the List of world heritage in danger.

Consideration of new objects and their applications will begin on July 5: a number of natural and cultural objects, including the historical center of Sheki together with the Khan's Palace, are proposed to be included in the world heritage List.

Currently, the world heritage list includes 1092 sites in 167 countries.
