OREANDA-NEWS  Since January 1, China has completely stopped purchasing electricity from Russia, deciding not to choose even the minimum contractual volumes, that is, about 12 megawatts. This was reported by Kommersant with reference to sources familiar with the situation.

According to them, exports are unlikely to resume this year, as domestic prices in China have fallen below the level offered by the Russian side. Thus, consumers have no reason to continue cooperation.
