OREANDA-NEWS China has reacted to the US plans to ban flights over the Russian Federation (RF). This is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian, banning Chinese airlines from using Russian airspace would harm the interests of the United States itself. He stressed that the restrictions would also adversely affect travel between China and America.

The diplomat also supported the protest of China Southern Airlines, Air China and China Eastern Airlines against the background of possible sanctions by the administration of US President Donald Trump.
