This version, with links to sources, was made public in the Fox News story released on April 16. Zhao recalled that WHO "has repeatedly stated that there is no evidence that the new coronavirus was created in the laboratory".

At a press conference on April 15, a Chinese diplomat also condemned the statements by the headquarters of the re-election committee of Donald Trump, who proposed supporting the president to hold China accountable for the spread of coronavirus. “These are completely irresponsible remarks. A pandemic is a common enemy of humanity. In the face of this sudden global crisis, all countries, including China, are victims. How can we talk about such a thing as compensation or liability?
