OREANDA-NEWS  Crime in all categories has fallen in Russia — in 2025, there was a decrease in the number of registered crimes by 7.3 percent, and illegal acts against a person by 9.2 percent, including murders and attempted murders.

The facts of intentional infliction of serious harm to health decreased by 14.8 percent, robberies — by 11.2 percent, robberies — by 18.3 percent, thefts – by 9.3 percent, thefts — by 11.6 percent, as well as all types of fraud — by 7.6 percent.

Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev pointed out that for the first time in recent years, the crime rate in the field of information and communication technologies has decreased by 11.8 percent.

According to the agency, it became quieter on the streets, squares and parks, crimes occurred there by 15.1 percent less compared to 2024. The number of illegal acts in transport decreased by 2.3 percent. Citizens also began to hooliganize less when drunk — by 19.2 percent. Accidents on the roads decreased by 3.1 percent.

The police seized 27.5 tons of narcotic drugs, psychotropic and potent substances from illegal traffic.

Earlier it was reported that the Sverdlovsk Region topped the rating of Russian regions in terms of juvenile delinquency in 2025.
