About a billion dollars will be spent on the construction of a special economic zone. A special infrastructure will allow you to control the reliability of transactions without the supervision of any financial regulators. The project is aimed at attracting foreign entrepreneurs and remote workers.

It is assumed that special tax and administrative conditions will be established in the city, and key processes will be carried out in digital format. At the same time, the authorities emphasize that the cyber-city will not receive political autonomy and will remain under the jurisdiction of Tanzania. The population should be several thousand people, but the main focus is on digital residents, who do not need to be physically on the island.
