OREANDA-NEWS  China's Dongfeng Motor Corp. has reached the annual target of producing 1 million vehicles powered by new energy sources (NEV).

According to the company, this milestone was reached at the plant producing luxury hybrid SUVs M-Hero, when the 10,000th copy of the M817 model rolled off the assembly line.

Dongfeng is one of the three leading state–owned automakers in China. His portfolio includes electric vehicles Voyah, M-Hero, eπ ("E-pai") and Nanobox, which are aimed at various market segments.

Sales of M-Hero electric vehicles have almost quadrupled this year, and Voyah has roughly doubled, the company said.
