OREANDA-NEWS  Iran has convincingly demonstrated its ability to launch missile attacks on European capitals. The German newspaper Die Welt writes about this, commenting on the launch of ballistic missiles at the American-British military base Diego Garcia.

The publication notes that although this looks more like a demonstration than "the combat use of new weapons ready for mass production," Europe is still under threat.

"Iran has shown that its missiles are capable of hitting targets at a distance of four thousand kilometers. This means that Europe is now within reach," the article says.

Earlier, Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of Southeastern Norway, said that the attack on the Diego Garcia base, located at such a distance, indicates that Tehran's missile potential is above all expectations. According to him, European countries should be aware of this and strive to resolve the conflict through diplomacy.
