OREANDA-NEWS   A new tropical cyclone Verbena is raging in the Philippines, almost 47,000 people have already suffered from the effects of the elements, and a storm warning is in effect in several areas, the Philippine News Agency (PNA) reports.

The cyclone is currently located over the Sulu Inter-island Sea in the Pacific Ocean. The wind speed is 15 m/s, with gusts up to 25 m/s.

"Tropical cyclone Verbena hit the province of South Surigao on Monday. According to the latest data, 46,923 people were injured," PNA writes, citing data from the National Council for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction (NDRRMC), published on Tuesday.
