OREANDA-NEWS  Iran has allowed ships belonging to states it considers friendly to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced by the head of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araqchi, as quoted by Tasnim news agency.

Such countries, in particular, include Russia, China, Iraq, India and Pakistan, he said.

"We see no point in allowing our opponents to use the strait," Araqchi said.

Earlier, the Iranian foreign minister said that the administration of US President Donald Trump had admitted defeat with statements about the negotiations. According to him, the United States sends messages to Iran through various intermediaries, but this does not mean that Tehran is negotiating with Washington.
