OREANDA-NEWS Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev lost to Italian Yannick Sinner in the final of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournament in Indian Wells (USA). 

The meeting took place on the night of Monday, March 16, and lasted two sets. In both cases, the Italian prevailed in a tie-break. The athletes spent 1 hour and 58 minutes on the court.

In the semifinals, Medvedev played with the first racket of the world, Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. The Russian won in two sets.

Earlier, Medvedev reached the $50 million mark in career prize money. He became the eighth tennis player in history to do so.
