OREANDA-NEWS German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced agreements designed to attract about 230 billion euros in investments into the German economy.

"In general, to date, those investors with whom we have met and talked have announced their intention to invest about 230 billion euros," Merz said following the results of the two-day Invest in Germany Summit in Berlin.

As an example, Merz pointed to the American corporation Amazon, which, according to him, plans to allocate 16 billion euros for projects in Germany. Among other investors, the chancellor mentioned NVIDIA, RWE, Blackstone, Microsoft and Sanofi.
