OREANDA-NEWS  Cooperation between Russia and China is strengthening against the background of unstable events in world politics and the economy. The relations between the two countries were assessed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, speaking at the 30th regular meeting of the heads of government of the two countries, RIA Novosti reports.

"Despite the turbulence in global politics and the global economy. We are launching new large—scale projects," Mishustin said, describing the countries' relations with a Chinese saying: "Mutual trust is the cornerstone of friendship."

We are talking about the development of oil and gas fields, the production of high-tech equipment, cooperation in the field of energy, peaceful atom, space and moon exploration, as well as the implementation of joint programs in the aviation and automotive industries, the development of transport corridors and work in the extreme conditions of the Arctic.

"It is trust, as well as an understanding of common interests and a desire to move forward together, that help us effectively solve long-term problems (...) I am confident that, acting shoulder to shoulder, we will cope with all the challenges," concluded Mishustin.

Earlier it was reported that Mishustin held an informal meeting with Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Li Qiang at Xihu Lake. According to the Russian cabinet, Mishustin's invitation to Hangzhou is a sign of trust and respect from Chinese President Xi Jinping.
