OREANDA-NEWS American entrepreneur, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk, lost about $ 30 billion during the last midterm elections to the US Congress. This assessment is provided by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper.

According to the publication, such losses are primarily due to the fall in the value of SpaceX shares, which cost Musk more than $ 20 billion. The remaining losses are related to the decline in the value of Tesla shares and the entrepreneur's expenses to support the Republican Party, FT claims.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that he was ready to recognize the results of the midterm congressional elections and cooperate with the Democratic Party.

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for Russian leader Vladimir Putin, had previously indicated that the situation with the midterm elections in the United States was an internal matter for the country. "We are, of course, watching very closely, as is the whole world," the Kremlin spokesman noted.
