Putin extended special measures in foreign trade until the end of 2027

OREANDA-NEWS President Vladimir Putin extended special economic measures for the import and export of products and raw materials until the end of 2027, the relevant decree was posted on the official website of the legal acts.
"Amend the decree of the President of Russia dated March 8, 2022 No. 100 "On the application of special economic measures in the field of foreign economic activity in order to ensure the security of Russia" by replacing the words "December 31, 2025" with the words "until December 31, 2027" in the first paragraph of paragraph 1, the document says..
It comes into force on the day of its official publication — September 17.
Restrictions on foreign trade in certain types of products and raw materials were introduced by the decree "On the application of special economic measures in the field of foreign economic activity in order to ensure Russia's security" dated March 8, 2022, which was a response to the actions of unfriendly countries. Among other things, the document provides for an increase in export and import duties on certain goods and raw materials.
The decree was previously extended until December 31, 2025, and now it has been extended for another two years - until the end of 2027.
In March 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a list of goods related to export restrictions, including technological, telecommunications and medical equipment, vehicles and agricultural machinery, and electrical equipment. The government clarified that the export of these goods is temporarily restricted to all foreign countries, with the exception of the EAEU states, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. This measure is necessary to ensure stability in the Russian market, the Cabinet of Ministers pointed out.
