OREANDA-NEWS Moscow and Jakarta opposed the unilateral imposition of trade restrictions under the pretext of combating climate change, said Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Sergey Tolchenov, speaking at the BRICS Dialogue on Green Transformation event.

"Moscow and Jakarta welcome the emphasis on the inadmissibility of introducing unilateral trade barriers under the pretext of combating climate change, as well as on realizing the potential of transitional financing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in carbon-intensive sectors of the economy," said the head of the Russian diplomatic mission.
Tolchenov added that the Indonesian partners are also "interested in Russian developments in waste-to-energy technologies."
