OREANDA-NEWS   The export of fresh grapes from China to Russia tripled last year, as a result of which it reached a record volume for the entire time of trade between the two countries, RIA Novosti calculated according to Chinese customs.

The total volume of supplies of fresh grapes from China to Russia in 2025 reached an all-time high of 47.7 thousand tons, which is 3 times more than a year earlier. At the same time, the value of exports increased 3.2 times and amounted to just over $ 81 million, which also became a record.

However, in December, grape exports to Russia showed a decrease after the November record: during the month it decreased by 29%, to 6.6 thousand tons from 9.3 thousand tons. Compared to last December, shipments increased by 1.75 times.

Due to increased imports of Chinese grapes, Russia rose to 6th from 10th place among its main buyers. Vietnam (180.5 thousand tons), Thailand (122.1 thousand), Indonesia (110.3 thousand), Kyrgyzstan (96.2 thousand) and the Philippines (83.7 thousand tons) are in the top five.

In total, China exported 801.3 thousand tons of fresh grapes in 2025, which is one third more than a year ago. At the same time, the value of exports increased by 11.5% and reached $ 1.03 billion.
