New Delhi announced its intention to acquire the S-400 back in 2015. The contract for the supply of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system worth $ 5.43 billion was signed during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India in 2018. In 2015, Russia and India signed an intergovernmental agreement on the supply to the Indian side of light Ka-226T helicopters and the localization of the production of such machines on its territory.
