OREANDA-NEWS  Russia and Armenia discuss all relevant issues on the agenda in an atmosphere of frankness. Moscow's reaction to the law on Yerevan's accession to the European Union (EU) was revealed by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, RIA Novosti reports.

"Armenia and I are allies, strategic partners. Therefore, we discuss all the relevant issues on our agenda in an atmosphere of frankness and trust," the diplomat said.

Prior to that, Galuzin pointed out to the Armenian leadership that it was impossible to be in two multidirectional associations at the same time, such as the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the EU. The diplomat expressed hope that all the benefits of membership in the EAEU will be explained to the Armenian society.

March 26 National Assembly (Parliament) Armenia has adopted the draft law "on the beginning of the process of the Republic of Armenia's membership in the European Union". The initiative was supported only by Nikol Pashinyan's ruling Civil Contract faction.
