OREANDA-NEWS The German economy continued to weaken, and in the third quarter it stagnated at best. This is the conclusion reached by the experts of the Bundesbank. They were quoted by Bloomberg.

It turned out that the German industry suffers from structural problems, as well as from American duties. In addition, low capacity utilization is holding back investment, and the recovery of the construction sector is still seen as a matter of the distant future. As for private consumption, if it has increased, it has grown very slightly.

According to the agency, the largest economy of the European Union is trying to get out of the crisis, which has already been reflected in a two-year reduction in production. However, Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel believes that Germany will be able to show economic growth by the end of the year.

In early October, it became known that by the end of August 2025, the total volume of exports from Germany to the United States fell by 2.5 percent, compared with July values. Meanwhile, the American sales market is one of the main ones for German manufacturers.
