OREANDA-NEWS  Since 2014, more than 31,500 sanctions have been imposed against Russia. This was calculated by analysts of the portal Castellum. Their conclusions were quoted by RIA Novosti.

It is noted that we are talking about non-trade restrictions, not counting sanctions on trade in specific goods. More than 92 percent of such restrictions have entered into force since the end of February 2022.

The United States imposed the most sanctions against Russia. They accounted for 23.5 percent, or 7,411 sanctions. Canada imposed 3,980 restrictions (12.6 percent), while Switzerland imposed 3,851 (12.2 percent). The European Union is in fourth place in this list. If we take into account the 19th package, then Brussels has already resorted to 3212 anti-Russian restrictions.

In addition, Norway imposed 2,838 sanctions, Great Britain — 2,537, Iceland — 2,482, and New Zealand — 2,032. Australia and Japan announced 1694 and 1441 restrictions, respectively.

Earlier it was reported that the British authorities expanded the anti-Russian sanctions list by 297 positions. 240 companies and organizations, 7 individuals and 50 vessels were included in it. Most of them are not located in Russia. Thus, 142 companies are registered in the UAE, 39 in China, 3 in Thailand, and 2 in India. The restrictive measures were also extended to two Georgian TV channels, Imedi TV and POSTV, and a company from Poland.

In turn, the states of the European Union have not reached an agreement on the 20th package of sanctions against Russia. But, as the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Kallas, assured, work in this direction continues.
