OREANDA-NEWS  More than a third of Russians believe that Chinese cars are firmly entrenched in the Russian market, the press service of the Drom automobile portal told RIA Novosti.

The site asked car enthusiasts if Chinese cars would hold their positions if other brands returned. The survey was conducted from September 14 to September 21, 2026, and more than 11,000 people took part in it.

"Thirty-three percent of respondents think that Chinese models are firmly entrenched in the Russian market and will hold their positions, or their sales will lose slightly. Thirty-one percent of motorists are confident that with the return of familiar brands, sales of Chinese cars will drop significantly or even leave the market altogether. 36 percent believe that global car brands will not officially return to the country," the source said.
