OREANDA-NEWS  The United States has imposed sanctions against Ukrainian defense companies found supplying components for the production of Iranian Ababil missiles and Shahed drones. This is reported by the United States Treasury Department.

The list of Ukrainian companies subject to restrictions includes GK Imperativ Ukraina LLC (Kharkiv) and Ekofera LLC (Kyiv and Kharkiv). According to the US Treasury, the Iranian side used the gaskets company's data to purchase aerospace materials from Ukraine and supply the Iranian aviation company HESA with aerospace materials, including aircraft horizons, magnetometers, engines and generator components.

The Ministry clarifies that the sanctions were imposed on the basis of Executive Decree 13382, which concerns individuals who distribute weapons of mass destruction and their supporters for providing or attempting to provide financial, material, technological or other support to HESA.

The US Treasury Department notes that Ukrainian companies were part of a multinational network for the purchase of equipment for missiles and drones from Iran, which also included enterprises from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, China, Hong Kong, India and Germany, which were also subject to sanctions restrictions.
