OREANDA-NEWS  Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk was mistaken when he called the US withdrawal from NATO a dream of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish Freedom Alliance party, responded to the statement of the Polish politician on the X social network page.

"Tusk is wrong when he says that the US withdrawal from NATO is Putin's dream, in fact, he asked to join the alliance in the past, but was told that Russia would never be allowed to join," he wrote.

According to the politician, the US withdrawal from the bloc will be a real nightmare for Europe.

Earlier, the Polish prime minister said that the current situation in the world, including the threat of the collapse of NATO, the easing of sanctions against Moscow, and the large-scale energy crisis in Europe, looks like the embodiment of the "dream plan" of the Russian president.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban also commented on Tusk's words, noting that his Polish counterpart should not think about Vladimir Putin, but about his own country.
