OREANDA-NEWS   The United States and Iran are continuing negotiations, and the process is going well. This was stated by White House press Secretary Caroline Levitt, quoted by TASS.

According to the official, American troops are still attacking the Islamic Republic, and it is for this reason that Tehran is determined to negotiate. "It is not surprising that the remaining representatives of the regime are increasingly striving... to sit down at the negotiating table while they still have the opportunity," Levitt explained.

She also noted that the public statements of the Iranian side are very different from what is actually happening. Moreover, Tehran allegedly conveys messages to Washington that differ from public rhetoric.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that any provocations in the Strait of Hormuz would worsen the situation.
