OREANDA-NEWS   US President Donald Trump has called on Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky to conclude a deal on a peaceful settlement of the conflict with Russia. He stated this to Politico.

"Zelensky needs to get down to business and make a deal," the American leader said.

Trump also noted that Zelensky has "few trump cards" for negotiating, and now there are even fewer of them.

Earlier, Trump, speaking about the conflict in Ukraine, said that Moscow and Kiev need to maintain contacts. "It takes two people to tango, and they [Russia and Ukraine] need to get along. They should be able to talk," Trump said during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. He also added that the mediators in the conflict can only "try their best."
