OREANDA-NEWS After the US seizure of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, the average daily oil production in the Latin American country dropped by 210 thousand barrels. This is reported in a report published on the website of the International Energy Agency (IEA).
In January, the figure dropped to 780,000 barrels per day, analysts said. In the foreseeable future, the organization expects average daily oil production in Venezuela to gradually recover. This will be facilitated by allowing companies registered in the United States to export local raw materials, the report says.
According to preliminary data from Kpler, along with production, the supply of Venezuelan oil abroad has noticeably decreased. In January, the average daily export of raw materials from the Latin American country decreased by 260 thousand barrels and fell to 520 thousand. The dynamics were influenced by the US naval blockade, whose authorities have increased control over the movement of sanctioned tankers in the region.
