OREANDA-NEWS The administration of US President Donald Trump has revised its position during negotiations with Ukraine, reducing the demands from the assistance provided to Kiev from 300 to 100 billion dollars. This brings the figure closer to the Ukrainian estimate of 90 billion, according to Bloomberg.
"After a round of talks in Washington last week, the administration of President Donald Trump lowered the estimate of the assistance that the United States has provided to Kiev since the beginning of Russia's full—scale invasion from 300 billion to about 100 billion dollars," the source said.
It is noted that as compensation for the assistance, Washington plans to profit from future investment projects of Ukraine, in particular in the fields of minerals and infrastructure.
On February 23, Trump said that Ukraine should pay for the assistance provided by the United States not only with rare earth metals, but also with oil, and "anything." Prior to that, he noted that he expects to receive 400-500 billion dollars from the deal with Kiev.
